Last updated: 2 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TIRO Education Overseas Consultants (“TIRO Education”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use this website or our services. We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and other applicable Indian law. For the purposes of that law, TIRO Education is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here.
1. Personal data we collect
We collect only what we need to help you with your study abroad plans:
- When you fill in a form on this website: your name, email address, mobile number, preferred study destinations, course of interest, planned intake, the topic of your query and your message.
- When you use our counselling, application, test preparation or visa services: academic records and transcripts, test scores, your CV or resume, statements of purpose, recommendation letters, passport details, and financial documents needed for applications, scholarships, education loans or visas. We ask for these only when the service you have chosen requires them.
- When you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email: the contents of those conversations.
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not buy personal data from third parties.
2. How we use your personal data
- To respond to your enquiry and contact you by call, WhatsApp, email or SMS about it.
- To provide counselling and shortlist universities and courses for you.
- To prepare and submit university, scholarship, education loan and visa applications on your behalf, with your instruction.
- To deliver test preparation classes, trial classes and mock tests.
- To send you updates about services, intakes and events, which you can opt out of at any time.
- To meet our legal obligations and to prevent fraud or misuse of our services.
We process your data on the basis of the consent you give us, or for a purpose for which you have voluntarily provided it, as permitted by law. We never sell your personal data.
3. Who we share it with
We share your personal data only where needed to provide the service you asked for, and only with your consent where the law requires it:
- Universities and colleges you apply to, in India or abroad.
- Our associate partners in other cities, when they are supporting your application.
- Banks and lending partners, if you ask for help with an education loan.
- Visa application centres, embassies and immigration authorities, as part of your visa application.
- Test bodies, forex, travel, accommodation and insurance providers, when you use those services through us.
- Service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting and email delivery. They may use your data only to provide their service to us.
- Government or law enforcement authorities, where the law requires us to.
4. Transfers outside India
Applying to study abroad means sending your data to universities and authorities in other countries, and some of our service providers store data on servers outside India. We transfer data abroad only as needed for the services you have asked for, and not to any country where such transfers are restricted by the Government of India.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. If you withdraw consent, or once the purpose is complete, we erase your data unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
6. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to:
- Get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we have processed it.
- Ask us to correct, complete or update your personal data.
- Ask us to erase your personal data, unless we must keep it by law.
- Withdraw your consent at any time. This is as easy as giving it: email us at info@tiro.education. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that has already happened.
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights for you in the event of your death or incapacity.
- Have your grievances addressed, as described in section 10.
7. Children
If you are under 18, please ask your parent or legal guardian to contact us or fill in our forms on your behalf. We will seek verifiable consent from your parent or guardian before processing your personal data, as the law requires.
8. How we protect your data
